Might be hard to watch a movie on it after all the fingerprints and smudges from using the scroll wheel. I would rather have a physical switch. While driving I can just reach over and feel for the next button. Would be hard to do with a virtual scroll wheel. I hope this never happens unless screen technology gets a lot better.

I think Apple's recent "tablet" patents are really for something like this. A 3.5 - 3.7" 640x480 PDA screen makes a lot more sense than that dopey 2.5" QVGA screen they have now.

Love the idea if we didn't all have oily hands. Since we do, I think it's an awful idea unless Apple has found a way to make finger prints not look bad on the iPod... which I don't think they mind considering the back of my 5G iPod. Though perhaps I just don't want mine to be outdated so quickly. That all being said... I really dont' think Apple intends to release a widescreen version considering the fact that they bothered to upload so much content to the iTMS in the current format.

That would be a cool iPod. Maybe if they had some sort of technology that protected screens from fingers... but as we all know, such things are not common in our world. Otherwise apple would have already added this to their iPods.
I want to watch my movies on a widescreen.
