Click through this photo series ("Weiter" brings you to the next picture) of a fashion show in London. Then decide whether you found the super-models ugly or gorgeous.

Gorgeous girls may look ugly with bad makeup and bad photography.

Isn't it understood that Germans get a pass on this kinda thing? I mean, it's like asking if Japanese men have too many fetishes. It's really unfair.

So I boycotted the poll.

i'm telling you — that girl you see on the street is more often more pretty than these "models" and "celebrities"

i saw angelina jolie at central park — she looked so "put together" with her makeup and outfit that she's like a freak. her hair although nice was hairsprayed down into a sculpture... her skin was so perfect and clear that it was "off". like looking at a wax sculpture.

Somewhere in between, I wouldn't say they are ugly, but not exactly my thing either. Not only that but each picture is different(although some are similar) so there should be different options for each picture, as in check if gorgeous then the numbers one through ten and allowing you to chose multiple options.

I thought this girl looked good:

But the rest were just...*shudder*.

Edit: Good means not considering the crazy "fashion" she's wearing.

Ugly or gorgeous? Dunno, I'd have to see them in some normal freaking attire first. Or stark naked.

It's hard to tell behind all of that make-up and the awful, awful coture.

Given the right lighting, dress and situation, I'm sure all of them are just fine.

That's hilarious. The look on her face, oblivious to the fact that she has a giant pink square strapped to her head.

I can't stand a lot of fashion shows. Many designers seem so caught up in being artistic, that they alienate a very large portion of their potential audience. Sigh, I could poor sugar all over someone, cover them in feathers, and call it art too. This is of course an exaggeration.

Maybe I'm just not cultured enough, but I don't think I would want to be.

Aside from Daniela, they're all ugly.

But then, this is the Luton fashion week - not the most prestigious event on the modelling calendar.

Added to which, "fashion" is having one of its "confrontationally ugly" phases at the moment (particularly with the "small mouth, wide face, "I'm a grey" look) - you don't think Lily Cole would get anywhere near a catwalk if it wasn't, surely?

I call it Friday night.

There are some pretty girls with that look — Gemma Ward and Devon Aoki both have that kind of small-mouthed, out-there look, but I think they both look all right.

As for the girls in these pictures: I really can't tell if they're gorgeous or ugly, because the fugly things draped all around their bodies have thrown the ugliness-detecting part of my brain into shock.

Gemma doesn't seem to have such an extreme look - only hints of it IMO.

Devon, on the other hand - she's just plain baffling. I still can't make my mind up whether I fancy her or not. Which means I probably don't. It's those pink leggings in 2F2F which threw me.

She is nice looking. The outfit is weird. A neglige more than anything else.

They went WAY out of their way to make up the models to be as homely or plain as possible. Supposedly they may have done this to focus attention on the "clothes," but that's a far stretch.

I think that MOST WOMEN can look gorgeous in the right clothes, makeup and (this is a biggie) setting. But it also doesn't take much to make any woman look plain to ugly either.

Most "women's clothing designers" seem to have an inner hate of women. Look at designer shoes-they seem to be "designed" to extract maximum pain. Most designer's fashions are impractical and silly even for limited activities like getting out of the limo at a premier. Note the trend toward "classic" fashions in most such activities lately; the ladies choose dresses that are elegant and that actually work, rather than silly things that may look good from one angle but don't let them actually move...

I think they were trying to do a Benniton [sp] type thing where it used crack addicts for models.

For some shock value. These things can get quite boring.

Actually, I think you're right about them going out of their way to make them look "homely". I'm sure it was part of the entire "theme" of the show. Most of them would probably look really good, if not smoking hawt in different clothes and with differnt make-up etc.

Guys, in real life, none of you would kick any of these ladies outta bed for eating crackers, or crumbs or even throwing them up all over the bed room. Well, at least I know I wouldn't...well...not so sure about the throwing up part...

I'm sure a lot of you have seen this already, but just to further my point a bit:

Yes, she does, and her clothes are quite wearable (sans the silly hat). The other models look horrible however.

I saw Jay Moore interviewed once and he said something like "remember when models were hot looking? I was at an event with some fashion models the other day...I haven't seen that many ribs since I went to Tony Roma's."
