hah.. yeah, that's a bad picture.

I'm willing to give the movie a chance. At least it'll have a good plot this time, based on an original Ian Fleming novel (one of my favourites)—unless they screw with it too much. The new bond girl looks to fit the part physically, though I don't know much about her acting skills.

To be honest.. the last few bond movies sucked majorly, especially the last with those incredibly bad cgi scenes. Hopefully with this movie they'll go back to the original Bond atmosphere found in the novels, and partly in the Connery movies...

I don't like the new guy they have to play Bond. To me he just doesn't fit the part or even look the part.

I'm gonna put a word in for Dalton too. Made a very convincing "dark" Bond. The films he was in weren't too bad either - in fact The Living Daylights is one of my favourites.

The Living Daylights was pretty good. License to Kill seemed pretty bad though.

Regarding the Ford:

The Mondeo being used for chase scenes in the Bahamas is a souped-up 140mph model.

Craig, 38 yesterday, drives only automatics — so the car had to be modified.

A James Bond that can't figure out a stick-shift. If this weren't so sad it would be funny.

Agreed. The Living Daylights was a good bond spy film. License to Kill was a lousy gory revenge movie and to this day is my least-favorite Bond film (and that includes On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Not understanding why you'd think you were being an ass? He does look like he could be Connery's son. Since he's got that original Bond look and can actually kick ass whilst looking cool I reckon he'd be great for a Bond role.

Adrianne Paul would have been my first choice for Bond. There can be only one. :-)

That said: I wish Brosnon would have stayed on. (Had it been offered to him.) I think the studio is cutting their nose off to spite their face here.

... and yes: Talisa Soto was a great Bond chick.

If the producers insist on ditching Pierce Brosnan, then Clive Owen can definitely be Bond.

The only possible upside is the reception for this jagon should so luke-warm that the producers will figure out their mistake and replace him like Lazenby and Dalton got replaced. He could be a one-hit wonder, so to speak.
