I have been working for one whole month on my first website. It's really simply CSS layout with two row header, content, sidebar and footer. I am really happy with the progress. It is 100% validated XHTML and CSS. It loads perfect in Safari and Firefox.....and then came Internet Explorer.
The damn browser doesn't just show a couple of bugs. IE displays a total mess!!!!!!! I mean a real big mess!!!!!!! How on earth is anyone using this POS browser? It can't figure out an easy and popular CSS layout. If anyone can please help me getting my layout to work in IE I will call them My Lord for the rest of my natural life.

There's a web developer forum here, where you'd probably get better help than in the lounge. I have heard about a "fix IE CSS" style thing that you add and Internet Explorer will behave correctly without you having to change your own style definition. Ask for that here.

I was very angry yesterday so I can empathize. Trying taking some slow deep breaths in and out, should help you to relax. I wish you all the best with your site. Hope you have better luck that I did, I failed twice.

Go outside and take your shoes off, and walk around on the grass with your bare feet. Works for me every time.
(provided it isn't 20F outside)

Do you have a link, or at least some screenshots? I'm guessing that this is float-related, but I'd need to get a look at what browsers are doing to the page in order to be sure.

I'm going to write again from scratch and test in IE from the beginning this time not the end!!!!! I had total faith the simplest layout would work.
