All of the next generation consoles either already have or promise to have game download services. At least some of these services promise to be open to third party developers (for instance Crossbeam Studios). My question to for Moki is this: does Ambrosia have any plans to port old games or make new ones for any of the consoles? They're all going to be PowerPC-ish, so that should reduce headaches some. The PS3 and Rev, IIRC, will use OpenGL, too. My understanding is that two of the most popular games on the XBox360 are from the XBox arcade: Geometry Wars and Jewel Quest(?). I think that Barrack should be especially well suited to the Rev's freehand controller system.
Thoughts?

Probably would have been better as a pmsg, and I would not expect an answer beyond the company line "we don't announce anything until we're ready" if they are working on it. But it is an interesting question and I personally think a lot of the old ambrosia games would do better on something like the DS or PSP. My understanding is that handhelds tend to have more casual gamers.

In some ways, true, but I felt it worthwhile to give Ambrosia's fans a place to voice their opinions on the matter. Is it a waste of time? Which console? Would you buy their games on a console? Etc.
If they appeared on what will likely be my console of choice (Rev) I would certainly take a closer look at all of them.

Ambrosia SW has a large place in my heart from my earliest Mac days.
They really did it for me.
I want them to port Harry the Handsome Executive. I would actually pay for that

Harry was the bomb. Such a great game. Ambrosia, your software is like the background music to my teen years.
PS: Sorry for pirating you games back in the day. I was young and dumb, and also had no money. If you want I`ll fly over to your offices and make some takoyaki sometime to repay you all. You guys are great.
