This video is making the rounds on the net, and millions have seen it already. It's pretty amazing. I found it incredible, and I'm not even big on sports.

A special ed student at a highschool in Rochester, NY, who is autistic is the basketball team's towelboy/coach's assistant and the coach lets him suit up in the final game of the year. With 4 minutes left in the game, the coach allows him to enter the court and play. What follows next is incredible, it's more hollywood than any film.

It is truly an amazing story. No matter what disability, with will power great things can be accomplished. I hope that Hollywood movie will be done to honor this young man.

I read that story a couple days ago and hoped a video would comeout. That's incredible.
20 points in under 4 minutes is incredible no matter who you are.
I smell a new Rudy(ish) movie.

that was awesome.

Last year at an away game, the home team and all their fans rushed the court and started a brawl for no apparent reason. Im glad this video wasn't like that, I was half expecting it to be.

That is such an AWESOME story. And did you see him drop those baskets, practically every one of them was "nothin but net". His team-mates and all the fans were so excited for him I got goose-bumps just watching their enthusiasm.

Let's hope he gets a more regular spot on the squad next year.

Yeah, the crowd was going bananas. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this were to get made into a film. This real life ending is more climatic than most sappy, hollywood sports movies.

Reminds me of Rudy. Awesome.

I was thinking more along the lines of Rudy + Radio, but yeah. This has Disney written all over it (sadly...I'm getting tired of them releasing the same sports movie every year).

Great stuff. I heard Disney was in talks w/ the family for the film rights.

I read the news story on Thursday or Friday last week. I then saw ESPN picked up the story and did a nice piece to bring it all together in that well produced sort of way. It is a truly moving story and the essence of what sports should really be about!

What a fantastic story... the fact that it's true is the best part.

I saw the video during the Lakers/Kings halftime break last week. I agree with Charles Barkley on this one, that coach should be fired. How are you going to keep that kid benched all season and then decide to play him the last 4 mins of the final game? They could have made the playoffs if that kid was in the lineup since game 1.

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!

theres so much emo gushing going on in here it's like a Cody convention.

perhaps this can supplant the "old angry white coach teaches young black guys to play basketball" movies.
