How long does jelly stay good for? I got peanut butter the other day, but forgot to get jelly. The jar I have in the fridge hasn't past the "best by" date, but it's been at least several months since I've eaten any of it, and it's been open at least that long.

I love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on multigrain bread. Also prefer chunky style.
