Happy Birthday Apple was launched yesterday and is collecting messages from people who want to thank Steve (Woz and Jobs) and Apple Computers for an awesome 30 years of innovative products and thought.

Messages cost US$2 which covers the checking of the messages, layout and design, printing and binding the message into the commemorative book which will then be presented to Apple.

How much of that $2 goes to your web designer?

hmmm thats very strange - first time i have seen that error and its been checked on about 30 local different configurations. Oh by the way none of the money goes towards the designer, I don't think we will cover costs with this project as it is a very expensive book that is being created. Archiving paper and inks and professional binding etc etc

Adblock and Filterset.G nuked a few of your images (*ad_*.jpg) because the filenames matched the following regex:
Code:

Unfortunate coincidence.

For christsake, they sell computers, they didn't cure smallpox.

Two bucks? Two bucks is all I have to pay to get my message in a deluxe hard-bound book to be presented to Apple? WOWEEEZ. I'm sure Apple will be all honored and ****. They'll no doubt curl up around the fireplace and read those heartfelt tributes to their genius and drink cocoa and share favorite keynote stories and puke til dawn.

I happen to know what books cost to be printed and if you're only collecting 500 messages then you're in the money. Not that I begrudge people having money making ideas, but this ain't no charity exercise.

Apple should thank their loyal customers.
I want a free iPod for all the macs my family bought and all the macs I made people buy.

I think Apple has gotten enough of my money, I don't feel like spending 2 bucks to be given the honor of posting well wishes.

Nice money making idea

I've already thanked Steve and Woz by sending them my money in exchange for their products. Some people get way to wrapped up in this kind of stuff.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Agreed. And if you want to give Woz your thanks, just e-Mail him and he might even post it up on Woz.org.

Say what you want about making fanboy sites (my sig makes me somewhat guilty), but this is just disturbing and creepy.

I just sent a message. I'm #114. Happy to be a part of this. It's a wonderful idea.
