WOW!

Rudi Bakhtiar joined FOX News Channel! She was CNN's Headline News Anchor for a loooong time. And I just saw her on a Fox News Special, "Iran and the Bomb." Cool. Rudi is great!

Rudi Bakhtiar joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as a general correspondent in January 2006.

Previously, Bakhtiar served as a primetime contributor on CNN, based in New York. During her tenure at the network, Bakhtiar held various positions, including a three-year stint (2002-2005) as anchor for CNN Headline News' nightly newscast. Prior to that, Bakhtiar was the morning anchor on Headline News and was on air during the terrorist attacks in 2001.

Throughout her career at CNN, Bakhtiar's international reporting has taken her to various foreign regions including Jerusalem, South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Mali. After joining the network's Los Angeles bureau in 1996 as an intern, Bakhtiar later relocated to the network's headquarters in Atlanta where she became a video journalist for CNN International. She also served as a segment producer for CNNfn and assisted in the launch of numerous business programs on CNN International, before becoming an on-air reporter for CNN Newsroom in 1999.

A graduate of UCLA, Bakhtiar is a recipient of the 2002 Iranian American Republic Council Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding achievements, excellence and accomplishments within the Iranian American community. That same year, Lycos named her as one of the top 20 most popular television news personalities in the broadcast industry.

NBC's John Roberts is now on CNN. Maybe he was pissed he didn't get Brokaw's anchor job.

I heard it was because of the cruel insensitivity displayed by his NBC colleagues during the Supreme Court nomination hearings.

NBC Colleague: I think we should go with the Katrina story as the lead.

Anchorman John Roberts: Don't you think swearing in Judge John Roberts as the 17th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court should be tonite's lead story?

And I've looked but haven't found a picture of her that really does her justice. She looks like she could be Pamela Anderson's younger, cuter, more intelligent and more athletic sister!

You really have to see her on the air to realize how special she is.

I predict it won't be long until she is at the network level.

Are these chicks actually good journalists, or just meat? Do anchors need to be good journalists, or anymore is it just about reading stuff and letting others handle the journalism?

The comment about tipping, I'm a waiter speaking from experience. And no, I call them french fries. (Although we call ours 'shoestring fries' at my restaurant.

aand no, I'm not too busy doing those things to stop by here and talk about hot weatherbabes and such.
