Whilst i have seen threads that apple copied konfabulator in regards to widgets.I wanted to see how many people recognise and remember these. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desk_Accessory
So are they the same as widgets? So can it be said that apple developed the concept of widgets. I would attach a pic but i do not know how unless someone can tell me as i found this information on another thread at appleinsider.

i've seen some people argue that having a desktop icon to an app is basically very similar to konfab. i'm so over this "copied" bullcrap. i barely use dashboard.

We've had this discussion several times. There doesn't seem to be a general consensus. Personally I think that desk accessories are the granddaddy of all widgets, but others disagree.
