Hey Everybody-
I live in the Chicago suburbs, and I never quite know what is cool to do for dates in Chi town. Being only 20, the bars are out...been to the aquarium, field museum, navy pier and the mile more times than i care to recount. What cool things are there to do that are less cliche? Any favorite hang out spots...activites for when it's still cold out...? Hopefully your insight will help to make my weekends more interesting! Thanks a bunch,
-Stephen

True, I'm so glad I lived in Berlin when I was 17-27. Just the place to be.

Take the Brown Line to Belmont. There's a bunch of cool stores up (Hollywood Mirror, Uncle Fun) there if you're into kitschy stuff/toys/resale clothes. There's also the Vic theater there, too - good for a brew and view or concert. If you think vegetarian food is gross and/or boring, hit the Chicago Diner for a meal and be amazed. The whole Halsted/Lincoln (Wrigleyville) area is pretty eclectic and fun.

Maybe you should pick up a TimeOut or Lonely Planet book on Chicago? They'll list the more out of the way places than a typical travel book will.
