Go to http://osx86.com and see what happens. It leads you to Apple.com! What happened to the OS X on x86 project?

But why did you ask us to click the link and "see what happens" only to tell us that it leads to Apple.com?

Edit: sorry about the leetspeak, but apparently that word is verboten? My sentence doesn't make sense with the ******s.

http://osx86.com/ being registered to apple is just another indicator of Apple entering the generic PC market with osx.

now, flame me with the "Apple is a hardware company blah blah".

nm, spoke too soon, not registered to Apple. I still stand by apple entering the generic market tho

Installing OS X on an x86 processor is, however, encouraged - by Apple, no less.

Is it? Are cops going to come to my house if I try it?

People use the word "illegal" like it's akin to prostitution or drug smuggling.

Well it's against the user agreement, any way. Right?

It should be in the EULA (that you can't use it on non-Apple hardware), but the vast majority of people who have a hacked version of OSX running on any old x86 stole it anyway. The weird thing is, if you have a hacked version of OSX, you may never see the EULA, therefore, you would not have to agree to it, making your actions legal (or at least in a legal grey area). But given the fact that you would have to steal it to not see the EULA, you are committing a crime anyway. The lesson here is to buy an Apple and not break the law.

That being said, I have personally pirated every major release of windows since 3.1 at least once, and I have pirated DOS 6.22.

How does one reconcile that in their conscience? Stealing garbage=okay. Stealing art=wrong.
