Hi guys,

I have a brother living in London whose only computer is the one provided by his company, an IBM thinkpad. Anyhow, he has decided he wants his own and since I'm the compu geek in the family, he asked me where and what. Which are the recommended retail stores in the UK? I'm in Spain these days and I'll move to the Netherlands in a week, so I have no UK input. He is interested in a light weight laptop with 15" screen minumum. Of course, the MBP is a strong candidate but he also considers other PC brands such as Sony, etc. He is intriged by Macs since he consider them more durable (I'm quoting) and knows that mostof the family migrated to the Mac plataform over the last 8 years (guilty as charged.

Which stores (besides the Apple store near Picadilli) are a good start?

Remember not just Macs, PCs too.

Sorry, no recommendations other than to avoid PC World.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.

Easy. John Lewis. Staff who know what they are talking about. Lots of Macs and Windows PCs. Good customer service etc.
