Choose only one of the following MAIN types of meat. I am aware that there are others, but I want to get a consensus of what other people like. And also specify what part of the meat you like. Me? I like pork and pork spareribs because they offer so much variety in the ways to cook them plus they are naturally tasty.

I could eat fish (seafood in general) every freakin' day of my life. Next comes beef, because there's just nothing like sinking your teeth into a nice, tender chunk of medium-rare cow meat.

Sorry, did I miss it where lamb and venison were not available in the US? Maybe it's just that I'm in Montana where we eat a log of meat...
Personally, if I could eat ostrich and bison more often, I'd be a happy camper. But I voted for beef.
RARE.
Check that...
BLOODY RARE.
I eat a lot of chicken, too.

Mmmmmm, logs of meat...
Personally, as much as I love all types of fish, there's nothing quite like a perfectly cooked piece of beef.

I've Alligator before, which was excellent. It was made up like chicken nuggets. I voted other since I'm fond of duck breast. However, my friend owns a butcher shop and I get close to wholesale prices. So I buy a lot of beef. I'm spoiled I suppose.

Blech. I actually ate bear meat about 6 months ago and it was horrible. There is a reason we eat the animals we do, it's because most of them taste bad.

It's very gamey, moreso than venison. Some people really like the game taste. I think it's allright, I'll eat venison on occasion. But bear is just too much for me. It really is preference.
Whatever the meat is, I bet a French chef could make it taste awesome.

Maybe I had some skanky bear meat. I mean, there's a burger at Dairy Queen and there's Filet mignon. Both are beef.
At any rate, the bear I ate was super greasy, had a rubbery consistency, and was crumbling apart as we tried to cook it. It also tasted horrible. I don't know. I love trying new things and bear meat really grossed me out. Maybe I'll have to give it another shot.

I'm surprised Turkey isn't on your main list. I'm also surprised no one has mentioned it yet :o
I thought it would be a favourite of many.
Anyways, I love pork tenderloin, any way it's cooked
I also love a N.Y. strip. Med-Rare of course.

My absolute favourite is:
wallaby
But roo, venison, duck and goat are also great.
I'm surprised that lamb wasn't on the list. It's certainly one of the most cheap, common and popular meats in Australia, and I'd be surprised if it wasn't fairly popular in most of the rest of the world.
I'm not a real fish or seafood fan, but I do like it sometimes.
I don't think much of pork at all.
All depends on what you're cooking though. Goat and lamb make the best curries, I think. Wallaby, roo and beef are great for steak. Wallaby, lamb or venison are great for roasts. Just about anything for stir fries.
Of course wallaby is also great for reasons other than eating. I mean, it's a lot more interesting to go out and hunt your own than to buy something shrink-wrapped from the supermarket.

Beef
Tender loin cooked rare/medium-rare.
Fire up a grill to "super-hot"l. Place meat onto grill, count to 30, flip, count to 30, remove from grill, let rest 5 minutes, eat.

How could I possibly choose!?
I love 'em all. The trinity: chicken, beef, pork. Turkey's great, too.
Lamb is swell, and veal—oh well, another vote for beef.
Bison is best if medium-rare burgers are on the plate. Ostrich is also quite tasty.
I could go on...

I voted beef, but if there were a choice for Meat, I would have picked that.
Seriously, there's nothing better than a nicely cooked piece of animal muscle. Fish, beef, veal, lamb, whatever....it's all part of a well balanced diet.
If Guinness had been a choice, I would have picked that though. All polls should include Guinness!

Lamb and chicken. Both are very flexible to use in a large variety of dishes. You can even use them in desserts would you believe. I invented Chicken and Apple Pie™ (c)

If you're anti-meat, maybe this isn't the thread for ya! But I'm sure you're welcome to start a veggie recipe thread if you want to make a difference. If your recipes are good enough, i might just not eat a piece of animal for an extra meal here and there.

Well, I just bought some beef yesterday. First time that I have had beef (besides hamburgers) in quite some time. I am looking forward to having some of it during lunch today. It also looks like that beef is the most popular kind of meat here.
