"On April 10, Ghyslain Raza's $160,000 lawsuit against three ex-classmates is to be heard by a Quebec Court judge in Trois Rivieres. Raza - who gained notoriety in 2003 as the "Star Wars Kid" - is suing his former classmates for posting a private video of him wielding a mock "light sabre" on the Internet."

That's not the Star Wars kid. Read the article. Most of it is about some other kid.

The article refers to that man as David Knight, not the Star Wars Kid (Ghyslain Raza). I wonder what the Star Wars kid looks like now?

160,000 to be exact.

I don't think it is their fault though. I mean he left this video laying about on school equipment as far as I remember.

That was a re-airing of the Pilot. You can tell because the MOnarch character's costume has changed.

Make this 6. Venture Brothers is one of my favorite shows. I had a marathon Venture Brothers watching session a few weeks ago, it was great.

Wow, start a thread about the Shield, get bupkiss, mention an obscure Venture Brothers scene and people come crawling out of the woodwork.

Simply because the kid was careless doesn't mean that he deserved to have it posted on the internet.

They did a SWK thing on American Dad, too. It was awesome.

Side note, why is Iceman suing his high school?

Ultimately, the lawsuit will determine if (in Canada), you need someone's permission to post a video on the internet without the permission of the person on the film.

Or it's about embrassassing someone online.

Either way, I think he should lose the case.

So not wanting a relationship with an overweight person is a sin? I prefer skinny trim guys so what? Doesn't mean I hate fat people

That kid is an idiot. He should have used his fame and gotten onto Leno, Conan, and gone to hollywood to start making cameos in funny movies.

For the record, most people I know now give me strange looks when I call myself fat. The guys in my dorm have now demanded that at worst I call myself chunky (which I think is worse but straight guys are dumb). I think I now officially fall into the "big build" category.

Hell, I'm not even gay and I'll admit the guy in that photo was hot.

"At the height of the video's popularity, two webloggers (waxy.org and jish.nu) began a fundraiser to buy Raza an Apple iPod. In less than a week, they raised over $3,200 and shipped him a 30GB iPod and a $2,600 gift certificate."

theres weird BMI scale calculators online that should give you a general idea of whether or not youre overweight.

this one: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ calculates me at a 24.4 (190 pounds, 6'2"). this puts me .5 whatevers away from "overweight". not to toot my horn or anything, but i really doubt you're going to find anyone who would call me anything close to "overweight", so i dont know what this proves.
