This is from one of my favorite areas of that great old site. It's a shame they packed it in, but time marches on. I was looking back at the Parting Shots pictures and came across this. Kinda prophetic seeing as how it's from 2003.

The move to x86 is underway, and rumors of an Apple/Disney deal abound, fueled by Disney's buy of Pixar.

Well, the Disney thing is kinda happening, there will never be a dual G5 Powerbook, but we do have a dual cpu MacBook Pro... iTablet was wrong... Sexbot obviously was a joke, switch to x86 is real... and vPod is a reality.

Scary.

And to think, all if it caused laughter and guffaws at the time. "Switch to Intel?! You're a #$%*@^| moron!" And I personally couldn't even conceive of a video iPod.
