How have we stooped to this level in America, of all places? We need to take back not only the goverment, but society in general.

Lost sounds like an accident. Not sure it is
Btw, bureaucrazy (sic!) you'll find anywhere, but the litigiousness in the US is unmatched.

Sounds like parents believing their children over the other adults.

CNN is now reporting that The United States has outlawed personal responsibility. It is to be turned over to lawyers because they are much better at managing such minute details.

the UK is fine, apart from a class of people called "Chavs"

they are ****ing wankers. if there are a group of chavs on the pavement/sidewalk and you are minding your own buissness, you still have to cross over.

the same thing happened a week ago, i crossed over, and i still got called a c**t.

also, the schools are getting worse. in a school, a teacher got pushed by a girl (14years) and the teacher gave her a detention. the girl called her mum up and told her that the teacher pushed her and the teacher got questioned by the police. the goverment doesnt do anything.

COME ON TONY BLAIR, GIVE US SOME SHOTGUNS!!!!!

You don't need shotguns. You need a society that permits, nay expects, teachers to show the back of their hand to students who mis-behave.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Wow. My 2-year-old kisses everyone for some reason. He doesn't let you get away with a hug; he'll grab both cheeks and pull your face in and plant a smacker right on your lips, in a matter-of-fact way. He takes it very seriously.

Ah, the current pop psychology. As if five-year-old "pre-adults" have any understanding of the sexual implications and motives that we project onto them. Kids are not just adults minus a few years of experience. The sooner we as a society remember this, the better.

This is so dumb.

I wonder if they'll try to explain to them why its wrong. Nope, they'll probably just tell them not to do it, end of story. Treating, 5 year-olds like adults on applies one way apparently.

Yup Thank the Liberal organizations like the ACLU, and Liberal Lawwyers, as well as the lessening of our American culture where stuff like this is now offensive but teaching kids how to roll a condom on a banana or Teaching theat Sally has two mommies is now not considered offensive but a little boy hugging a little girl can cause him to get into trouble.

Did you even bother to watch the story?

This is about aggressive behavior, not about teachers enforcing some sort of kindergarten level sexual harassment rule.

I think the issue has been blown out of proportion by both sides.

Got a link without a stupid video? I'd rather read about it than watch it.

So what did she do that would constitute criminal proceedings.

a little girl hugged another little girl, apparently hard enough to lift the other little girl off her feet. The story didn't mention if the huggee minded this at all, got hurt, or if this was worse than any other playground incident that could happen. My son is almost 4 and hasn't grown out of the pushing stage, or recognizing his own strength. From the video, the hugger looks to be a very large 5 year old, and probably doesn't know her own strength. The teacher made her write out that hugging was bad.

I can't believe what a moronic potlitically correct teacher would do. The little girl that hugged will be traumatized for a long time and the other one could care less probably.

Sure, we don't have the facts about this tiny little incident involving 2 5-year-olds, a couple teachers and two parents, but clearly it indicates a serious problem in American...nay, the world. Oh, what has happened to humanity?!?!

The terms "stupid" and "lawsuit averse" seem to be pretty close to identical semantically any more. This is DUMB. As Millennium says, expecting children who are barely able to dress themselves to understand what adults connote in their actions is ridiculous; punishing them for what adults think they see is even worse.
