Well, it's been 2 years since ambush posted his zinio poll. Anyone still against using it? The reason I ask is because I've been recently cleaning out my house and I was amazed at how many magazines I keep for various reasons. Good tech articles, game hints, etc. It would be easier, and lighter, to keep them on the hard drive instead, but it changes how you read magazines.
I downloaded the free MacWorld issue from 2003. The interface is a little cludgy. I suppose I could get used to it. When I went to print an article, I was only allowed to print 2 pages, even though I asked for 4, and my name was watermarked on the pages that did print. Anyone know if this 2-page limitation was just for this free issue?
So, does anyone use Zinio?

I don't think that thing ever took off did it? I didn't even know what it was when I opened it on my Mac?

It's been around for years. I used to subscribe to the Mac Developer mag which tanked. I like the idea of having digital versions of my magazines because stacking the ones I keep is a pain in the ass. I had to carry a bunch of them up into the attic over the weekend. I would bet that the companies that printed them have PDFs of them, and I'd gladly pay like $1 for each back issue.

I loved the idea, but it simply never took off. I deleted my copy a few months ago...

I tried it a year or 2 ago, but they didn't really have any pubs I wanted and the software was pretty slow and ugly, so I deleted it.. Did seem kinda cool in theory to me too, though.

I LOVE it! All I do is read the content. Never tried to print from it.
I love it, I tell you!

America should know the political orientation of government officials who might be in a position to adversely influence the future of this country. http://tinyurl.com/4vucu5

It's too expensive. There should be a significant discount if you're buying a product that doesn't have to be printed, warehoused, distributed and packed onto the shelf. There isn't. In fact, a lof of the magazines cost the same to download in Europe as you can buy them for off the shelf. US magazines are more expensive here than they cost off the shelf in the US.
