This thing is amazing.
Talk about bringing back memories. I actually have this taped (from the original broadcast.) We had just gotten our first VCR.
I love Vin Scully's voice. I could watch Dodgers games over and over to hear him describe the action. He's awesome.
Scully's call of the 1988 Series (Game 1) when Kirk Gibson pinch hit for the Dodgers and took Dennis Eckersly deep is stuck in my head. Maybe because I somehow knew Gibson would hit it. Sometimes you can just feel that kind of thing coming. "High fly ball deep into right... GONE!"
To think of the events that had to happen for this inning... Clemens getting pulled early. Kevin Mitchell getting called back from the locker room where he was already taking off his uniform. Buckner NOT being replaced for defensive reasons. Etc. etc. etc.
I'm sure someone has emailed this to Bill Buckner by now. Such a shame. He was such a good player, just hobbled and shouldn't have been in there to start with.
Anyway, the video is lots of fun...
