Hello,

I need a huge favor from someone who knows how to export a window media player video clip and convert it into a quicktime mov? Please?

basketball clip

I just need to have it done asap. Thanks!
(if you have a time to type down the instructions, that'd be GREAT!)

Editing movies from your digital camera is easy with Flip4Mac WMV Player Pro. Simply record movies using your digital camera’s Movie Mode and use Flip4Mac WMV Player Pro to make them available for editing in applications like iMovie. There’s no easier way to make and edit movies or to move media files into your iPod. Simply import Windows Media video and audio files into your iPod with Flip4Mac WMV Player Pro

Flip4Mac WMV Player Pro allows you to import Windows Media video and audio for editing or conversion to other QuickTime formats. You can import directly into applications like Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express HD, QuickTime Pro and iMovie. You can also convert files from Windows Media to other QuickTime formats using applications like QuickTime Pro, Cleaner 6 and Sorenson Media Squeeze 4.1.

It can be done easily if you have QT pro and flip4mac.

If you want, I can do it and e-mail to you. Just let me know your e-mail address.

Is that even possible with a streaming clip like that? I have flip4mac and qt pro, but I have no idea ow you would pull that off with a streaming video...

If anyone knows where to get just the .wmv file downloaded then I can help...

saving the WMV isn't the problem (once the movie loads up in the browser, click the little down arrow at the right side of the playback controls and click Save as Quicktime Movie), the problem is that QuickTIme Pro won't let you convert from WMV to something else (i just have the free flip4mac, but you shouldn't need the WMV encoder just to convert away from WMV)

So, no luck so far with QTPro and free flip4mac.

I have the flip4mac version that let you convert them via QT pro (its not the free version, I paid for it before Microsoft bought them out and made it free)... I have done it before with no problems, but only too a plan old .wmv file... never a stream.

I'll try that MiMMS and see what i can do... I'll let you know

That was a huge pain in the ass... I hope this video was important somehow...

Download here:

The download will be active for 7 days or 25 downloads, whichever comes first. I can re-upload it if thats not long enough.

It doesn't work with the free flip4mac. They put some sort of block in there so that you can only convert from WMV if you buy the Pro version. Same thing when you try to import into iMovie. I'm not sure how they are able to tell whether you're converting or just playing, but they did it somehow.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
