And I currently work for a corporation that is reluctant to give out gifts of any
value over $25 due to the excessive tax paperwork that is involved.
Although for Christmas they gave me something rather unique that I'm still
trying to figure out how best to utilize it.
You are lucky!

That's alright. Familiarity with the word breeds suspicion.

That is an obvious photoshop job. You can tell by the reflections on the shrinkwrap and the shadow from the Best Buy bag is all wrong. That is obviously not the new iPod but rather a well made fake. Wait a minute, what are we talking about again?

So, no overtime pay ?
Are you getting paid so much already that unpaid overtime is expected ?

It doesn't happen enough to be really bad. But, no we get no overtime pay. In these situations, I think I would rather received nothing, then such an insulting gift though. It is really a slap in the face.
Compared to my previous job, this job has next to no overtime. I probably have to stay a few hours late once a month or so and have to work a weekend day every 4 months or so. It's not unreasonable considering the industry I'm in. At my last job I used to work 60 hour weeks all the time with no compensation what-so-ever.

It might not only be the industry.
At my job level, it is expected to work overtime with no compensation. It's just part of the whole package. Bu I do get paid well enough for not feeling insulted.
