Well, these kids can't claim an official Darwin Award (yet) because they still live (perhaps unfortutely), but they definetly get honors.

*Full story below* While Siphoning gas from a convience store, one of the boys spilt some gas on himself..................then used a lighter to see how wet he was

http://www.boston.com/news/odd/artic...ged_gas_theft/

Why do I have feeling they won't live to see 21.

If I was a judge and this came up in my court, I think I would laugh hard and say "Son, if you were stupid enough to light yourself on fire, I do not believe charging you with a crime would do any good."
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

It's all fun and games before you get burned in a freak gasoline theft accident.

There were some kids who lived near me who found an old abandoned paint factory with jar of mercury still on the shelves. Someone had the bright idea that they should dip their cigarettes in the mercury and smoke em.

I think a few of them are Darwin award winners and some are honorable mentions. It devastated the area for a while.

What goes through your thought process in a time like that? I'm guessing a big long echo of nothing.

Don't you find it even more ironic that they stole the gas from a firefighters car?

I mean you can't come up with stuff that stupid.

That's called "coincidental", not ironic.

SWG is not Alanis... the fact that they are both Canadian is coincidental, not ironic.

Quite so.

I think that her song "Isn't it ironic" is possibly a double fake irony because it doesn't even contain one example of irony.

It borders on irony when that happens.

the 17-year-old spilled gas on his pants while siphoning gas. He then used a lighter to try to determine how wet his pants were and set himself of fire

I'm dumbfounded.
