That's with a b, guys. That's about 3.6 billion degrees Fahrenheit.

This was a while ago, but I forgot to post about it. Here's a pretty big, but awesome, image of the Z-Machine at work at the Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This puppy took in 20 million amps of power and created super heated plasma. At 2 billion Kelvin, that's hotter than the interior of our sun!

It's science!

I remember when this was posted back in March. Back then I thought it would be neat to toss an handful of pennies inside that assembly and I still think that now. Can you imagine what would happen when a bunch of pennies get tossed into a crazy plasma like that? Prolly lots of bad stuff with cool lighting effects.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.
