Actually, I'd be happy if, when my husband is 60 and I croak he ends up with some young third world pretty "young thang."

The ONLY thing I'd be worried about is whether or not she was going to drain his checking account - I predict that with Mr. Art Bell.

I don't care who he's with as long as it's legal and good for him.

Now, I'm not questioning WHO he's with...

I'm questioning whether or not he REALLY loved his dearly departed former Mrs. Bell.

What does it matter if he did or not? There are hundreds, if not thousands of loveless marriages around the world. Just because this guy is a celebrity doesn't make his marriage any more noteworthy, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not going to be too harsh on Art because sometimes life throws
you a curve ball.

Your wife dying would be a big one.

After my wife was in and our of the hospital no less than three times
last year (one time ten days before Christmas even) with the possibility
things could go awry on at least two of the occasions I have to put myself
in his shoes.

"What if your loved one died?"
-What would you do?
-How would you move on?
-Would you entertain the idea of another relationship down the road?

If your wife had suddenly died and an opportunity arose, wouldn't you at least
examine the possibility? Even if it was really, really soon?

Yeah, three months is sudden.
Yes, she's from a foreign country.
Yes, there's the possibility she married him for green card / $.
Yes, the age difference is vast.

But live and let live. Come talk to me in three-five years. If they're still
together good on them. If they're not, well, it's sad. And Art would be
sadder still.

But the fact that he's going to live there is interesting. It suggests they
may have something in common other than the obvious.

Yes, besson3c, and maybe you and I have cleverly deluded everyone by secretly conducting our relationship in the 'open' even before Ramona passed away. You are not who you pretend to be and neither am I but we have put on this whole charade and deceit for our amusement.

But the biggest surprise to all is that my dear bess is the one in the picture wearing the glasses. Your plan was BRILLIANT bess, errr, I mean, Art.

I think that most of us that have listened to Art for years want whats best for him. We know how much he loved Ramona. We know how devastated he was when she died. And we also heard the joy and happiness in his voice when he told of finding this young woman. Does he truely love her,,,no. Does she truely love him,,,no. Has he reached out in desperation to clutch onto something to get him thru this horrible time in his life,,,,yes. And has she found a means to a better life,,,,yes. Maybe its a fair trade off. I just hope he will survive when they both realize the consequences of their rash actions. Good luck Art. I wish you the best. And hey, maybe you both will grow to really love each other,,,one can surely hope!

Yours is a more moderate voice than many here but even in moderation you deny both of them the benefit of the doubt so as to place YOURSELF in the position of knowing their hearts?

Thanks. But, I'll take him at his word and if he lied or if he turns out to have acted out of the most understandable of reasons, I'll understand and wish him the best and leave the job of living his life to him as I hope we all will take responsibility for pursuing OUR own happiness and not someone else's version of it.

Well, there is this little thing about the separation of church and state in there. To most people not trying to inject a their own political slant into this notion, I'd assume that this is commonly interpreted as: politics and religion should not mix!

The constitution is an awesome document written by some very smart dudes. It needs to be respected.

They have no lawn.

They have a lanai. It is their 17th story veranda overlooking their parking lot with a glimpse of some water off in the distance.

They are happy in love.

He lives there because he does not want to subject his new wife to any odd stares and the judgements of his family and friends and acquaintances in the United States. He is moving on with his life like his wife would have wanted him to.

How do I know all of this?

And, I might add, he does indeed seem very much in love with his new wife.

What if some of Art's friends who are psychics and remote viewers and fortune tellers and such have told him to get away from the Continental United States because of some unspecified impending calamity?

The way that dogs and cats act funny in the days and hours before a volcano eruption or an earthquake, I believe we all have some sixth sense or a sensitivity that gets drowned out by the noise of our lives and the noises in our lives, but which might be able to sense things before they happened.

And, not to creep anyone out, and I'm sure it's just clouds in my coffee, but for the past few hours I've been sensing strangeness in the air, like the calm before a storm.

But in an Art Bell thread there should always be a bit of supernatural hokum trying to pass for real clairvoyance, don't you agree?

And so here's that bit of blarney. Hahaha!
