So those of you who are former or current fraternity members, what was initiation like? What did they make you do?

No specific frats need to be named, I'm just curious as to what they make you do.

It was some semi lame symbolic junk about the how a group is stronger than an individual and some stuff about trust. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't stolen from some corporate training events or something like that.

Yeah, see you wouldn't find me around a frat like that, so my answer isn't going to include that stuff.

I've been in contact with a number of frats over the years. There is a wide range... Many aren't much more than a "boys only clubhouse," but from time to time, I've found a few that really seem worth joining (great group of people, solid fundraising for worthy charities, fantastic non-drinking extracurricular activities, etc.).

I really recommend doing your research before even considering joining one. Many could care less about you... they just need warm bodies, membership dues and someone to fetch them a beer.
