Hi everyone! Don't know why but I just wanted to tell everyone that I've taken the plunge and bought a stock MBP 15" 1.83 from the UK Apple store! I just cudn't help myself and have ebayed the iBook and dug into the student loan for this new beast. Rock on delivery day.

I hate posts like yours. Envy is a bitch, isn't it?

I wouldn't want a 17 - too big to use on an airplane.

Unfortunately I think I would need to go to the gym first.

Just got one of them myself (1.83 variety) jam-packed with good RAM. Very cool indeed -- bootcamp replaces the Sony Vaio, and the Macintosh side replaces the PowerBook. A battery life of only two hours, but you will love nonetheless. Definitely a desktop replacement in terms of speed.

I wouldn't want a 17" It would get in the way of the bags and bags of money I have lying around.

It is cheaper than the 15" though when you equip them the same.

I think the 15" MBP is perfect. Large enough to be useful, small enough to carry. And if you really need a bigger screen, just plug one in.
Personally I am waiting for the rumoured 13" model.

Myth. I've had a 17" for two years and countless planetrips. It fits an airline tray just fine.
