Roger Rabbit was filmed using real-time merging of VR and real actors ? New to me...

Roger Rabbit was NOT filmed with real-time animation merged into the live action. It took a LOT of pre- and post production to marry the animation with live action, and it was all done "the old fashioned way" by animators using cels and rotoscopes to match everything.
