you compare this guy to a black older boyfriend?

you know, i have a friend who looks pretty much like this, he wears trouwers, but his face is filled with piercings. body is completely covered with tattoos. he is a good guy, it took him a long while to get a job but eventually he found one.

the fact that this guy stands out doesn't make him a lesser person. he probably dresses up like this on fairs only. maybe he makes a living out of this and charges people like you a dollar to be on the picture with him

If you look at the other people present it's pretty clear that this picture was taken at a fetish party.

It looks just like the average gothic/darkwave/electro festival. I've been to dozens of them, boring as hell. The penis thingie is rare though.

Goth is the worst look ever.

They do it to look "different" but they end up looking as bad as every other goth person.

Well, at least they have the balls (in this case, with visual proof) to go against the mainstream. Most people are wimps who just go with the flow, standing out in no way at all.

I think it's kind of sad that this guy is just joke fodder to so many of you: as Mac users, I'd expect you to at least accept being different. Even if you don't like that particular style, it's kind of hypocritical to make fun of being different when you yourself go opposite about 97% of society.

True, but most Goths get all pissed off when you glance at them for a half a second too long. As if they don't want attention. When in fact everything that they outwardly portray says "LOOK AT ME!!"

Whatever, people can look however they want. But when you go against the mainstream prepare have people's attention be directed towards you when you walk by. And prepare to have people talk about you when you take a picture with your dIck hanging out.

I think this poor fellow went too far and has pwned himself. Maybe he can get a job in a record store or a circus or something. I think compassion is all well and good. If anyone will need it, he will.

I posted this not just for a goof, but as a caution to our young posters who might think to themselves, 'oh, what's so bad about doing something like that? I think it would be cool.'

Well, if the prospective Gothikkan understands how much of a pariah he might become by pursuing his 'muse' it might be just the thing that will stop him from doing something he'll regret his whole life.

Ok. Now that I've provided the opposing viewpoint, go ahead and encourage away!

Abe, most of these people are highly educated and have well paid jobs. You do not honestly think he goes to work like that? It's a festival/concert so people dress up.

Compared to many other music scenes/subcultures, i think this is one is pretty relaxed. I've never ever seen a fight or agression in any form.

Ahh, ahh, ahh...you can't prove that. So, please don't try to slip a MOST in there just because you or some of the people you know may happen to mark, poke, paint and puncture themselves and yet have managed to land respectable jobs.

Good luck to all the nice misunderstood souls who are surprised when they dress like this:
http://forums.macnn.com/89/macnn-lounge/293771/revenge-silly-free-large-image-inside/

And people react with fear and loathing.

In fact, that thread was locked because the guy's look was so bothersome, if I'm not mistaken.

OMG. That's all I can think right now. I must be very sheltered. Or not have anything at all to rebel against...no that's not right; I've been all over the place and have worked hard against things that were wrong and needed righting. I guess I just can't get it.

The letter is funny though!

Answer me this then: Why do they all dress the same then? The are simply "mainstream" in their own society.

Now that you mention it, using Apple products and having my penis hang out of my pants are exactly the same.
