Hi,

I've had a j2.com +1-416 fax number for years now, but I find they are getting a little too expensive and I think it's time to move on. I'm sure there are lots of providers out there, some good, some bad, some who have really cool features and others that just sorta meet the status quo.

Can anyone share their experiences/perspectives/opinions on some of these providers and their services (or lack thereof)?

I've looked at Protus MyFax so far -- price seems right: $10CDN/month for 100 pages in/200 pages out. Looks like they even give you a no charge toll free # (not that I need one). Only problem I see with them is they don't use TLS on their mail servers so the fax is sent cleartext. J2 doesn't seem to support TLS either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason you can't use a FAX modem and a computer?
