Wait, I'm confused; is Dvorak a respected industry commentator or useless babbling fool this week?

When he says something bad about Apple everyone here calls him an idiot. Now suddenly it is a good read?

He's got some interesting points.

After listening to TWiT though I can finally accept that he makes stuff up to get attention.

I put more stock in Paul Thurrott's Vista slam.

Dvorak is indeed a babbling fool who watches the tide as an indicator of what to say next. Thurrott, however, has always been pretty consistent in his viewpoints, being predominantly pro-Microsoft. And whether or not you share his viewpoint most of the time, you have to admit he's a far more credible journalist than Dvorak will ever be.

For those of you who missed the Thurrott article.

Impressive. I can't help but be concerned, however, that Microsoft is drawing complaints from people who normally idolize everything that is wrong with the Wintel platform in the first place. This isn't a promising sign: either Microsoft is improving, or thede people will defect to Mac and start lobbying Apple to ensure that the Mac starts getting all the bad things that Microsoft seems to finally be abandoning.

You're confused.

I suggest a cold shower and re-doing that post.

Despite that, Paul still gave Vista a 5 out 5 mark.

Dvorak is a moron who will say anything to get hits.

That doesn't mean he isn't correct...
