Hey, y'all!
Check out the new
TiVo Desktop. The only listed change is that it's a universal binary, which at least means they have a honest to goodness Mac developer on staff, but it also sneaks a new folder into your home directory called "TiVoShows".
If you hold down the command (apple) key when you open the TiVo Desktop preference pane, there is now a "Videos" tab. Enter in your Media Access Key and, poof! Your computer shows up at the bottom of your Now Playing screen, right below TiVo suggestions.
In case you don't know how to get shows off your TiVo in the first place, point your browser at
https://your.tivo.ip.addy/nowplaying/index.html. The username is "tivo", the password is your Media Access Key (which you can find in Messages & Settings>Account & System Information).
Since it wasn't enabled, this could be buggy as all hell, so don't blame me if smoke starts to come out of your TiVo or your Mac. So far though, I was able to transfer a show with no problems.
Thanks goes to the
TiVo Community forums for this info.
