Hey everyone, I work at a private school teaching kids computers in grades K-8, you can see our web site here: http://sacredheartparish.dyndns.org
Since we are a private school, we do not get state or federal funds for technology and depend on donations or fund raisers. I am not here with my hand out asking for money, all I want you guys to do is when you search the Internet (which I know a lot of you do) use this search engine:

This search engine gives non-profits 1ยข per search and every little penny helps us out! There are other good causes to donate to also, like my wife donates to FAAN (Food Allergy Anaphalactic Network, our kids have food allergies) at her work, so if you find something else to contribute to, I know they will appreciate it just as much as we do! Also, if you eat General Mills cereals and see the box tops, or Campbells lables, please save them for your local schools (or you could mail them to my school, address is at the web site! )

Not really spam, I am just trying to ask people to remember their local schools and to help out when possible. Schools, especially here in Minnesota, need more help from the local community, especially with things like this search engine and labels for education and stuff. A lot of this money is used for technology stuff like software and hardware. Why would you call it spam?

I assume you didn't mean it as spam, but some people will consider it as such, because it is advertising. Have you checked with the mods ? It is a good idea to run those things by them via Private Messages to make sure they are on board. PM tooki or any Lounge mod.

No need. This isn't acceptable. Panhandling at the forums has seen a sharp increase in the past few months. The forums aren't here for the members to be harassed for money.
