The Entertainment Software Association has effectively ruined the best chance that the average gamer will ever get of seeing a authentic expanse of female flesh by ordering "booth babes" at the E3 Expo in LA to put it away - or face the consequences.
ESA President Douglas Lowenstein explained earlier this week: "Last year there were a lot of complaints about how the models were beyond, in many cases, what was decent." Accordingly, gone are "nudity, partial nudity, bikini bottoms or any sexually explicit or provocative conduct", according to the ESA guidlines.
We'll never see another milkshake brings the boys to the yard video of booth babes again

Maybe its because I'm getting old, or maybe its because the expo is supposed to be for Journalists, but I find I don't care.

What struck me about this year was that the articles on E3 actually had content. That's quite the nice change from previous years.

The other thing that struck me was not a single article on E3 I read complained about lack of booth babes. Everyone was too wrapped up in dissing Sony I guess.

I was sorry to see the boothbabes go, but if Sony wants me to pay $600 for a PS3, it's gonna take a lot more than a chick in a bikini. It better come with a happy ending.

ya what's up with Sony? They come up with 500 iPod killer Walkmans and phones and they are all ****. Then the PS3 presentation at E3 sucked ghost balls. At least they have Bluray.

This isn't the gay in me speaking but booth babes are as bright of an idea as chicks in bikini's laying on top of a car.

Don't you think these girls are just standing there dressed as some character they don't even know who it is laughing on the inside at all the greasy game geeks?

You want naked chicks go to a strip bar or get a girlfriend.

I find it a stupidity…I would rather have a speak with any of the game, car, computer, whatever creators than with a lady that is going to give me zero real feedback. Not being rude, but such role is easily dispensable.

I've worked several tradeshows and you guys can say what you want, but having an attractive woman at your booth is a huge traffic getter. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying it works.

As long as you have chicks in bikinis, who needs games and cars?

bin Lowenstein??? Being unfamiliar with the fellow I suppose those of you who know him are certain, (aren't you?) that he's not a tall, bearded Saudi man on the run from the authorities who's using an assumed name? Right?
America should know the political orientation of government officials who might be in a position to adversely influence the future of this country. http://tinyurl.com/4vucu5

Sounds like a bad movie played by the man who was Han Solo.

I'm with SWG on this one. then again I'm not exactly super huge on the exploitation of sex to promote products, regardless of whether or not it works.

The "Virgin" Mary is a type of sex exploitation by religion. It's the same reason why Adriana Lima has more fans than ever.

Sadly enough many of those ladies were promoting companies -game creators- that use women-sex-whatever to sell videojunkgames… the irony!
