So what grabbed ya and what was a dud?
Very impressed with Nintendo. Glad to find out it's pronounced "wheee" rather than "why". The controller seems to have a lot of potential. Their whole showing was just so... Nintendo. I heart Nintendo.
Very
unimpressed with the lack of game engines in the trailers. I know I should be used to this by now, but it still really irritates me. Especially with F.P.S. games when they try and make it
sorta like the game would look in the developer's wildest dreams.
Extra points to Kojima for
never doing this.
Loco Roco seems awesome, and will fulfill my GF's wacky Japanese quotient. This holds extra importance after I heard that Katamari for the PSP blows.
There seemed to be some fun stuff ahead for the Xbox 360. I broke down about a week ago and ordered one. Doesn't look like I'll regret it.
Spore is exactly the game I imagined after having played SimEarth a few times. So it only took like what, 10 years for you guys to come through.

I love the concept of "massively single-player online gaming'.
Saw Will Wright interviewed on G4 during the show. His humility is inspiring.
Speaking of G4, anybody get a load of that woman doing "The Feed"? When she would jump around (in a halter no less) her seemingly spectacular secondary sexual characteristics were immobilized by what I can only assume are oversized implants. Not a good look.
The live action/CG combo in Splinter Cell seemed creepy, though I would presume those are just the cinematics. The actual gameplay, even unfinished, looked pretty cool.
Scarface... meh.
Master Chief... Shiny!
