Apparently, it's from Microsoft's own marketing division and it mocks MS's efforts at branding vs Apple's success at branding.

Sorry if this is old, but I don't recall seeing it posted here.

And it wasn't created by Microsoft. It was created as a Christmas prank by a design agency working for the MS packaging department.
