Canon 10d, 17-40mm w/ remote shutter release (although it was so windy, I'm not sure what that last one bought me!)

It is nice but a bit too featureless for my tastes. I spent the weekend about 2 hours north of Toronto Camping...

Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam!

If you can't tell from the photos, there isn't much to do when you live in Kansas. Sigh... Nevertheless very beautifull pictures of my home state, the third one gives you a damn good impression on how flat it is.

My family plot is next to a buffalo farm. At my dad's funeral service a month ago, a couple came near the fence and were making lots of noises. You couldn't help but laugh. I'm sure dad got a good laugh too. At least they don't get to roam around the cemetary. Hahaha. Buffalo bingo!

wow. No wonder they get tornadoes in Kansas! I've never been there myself and now I'm not sure if I'd want to. I love the countryside, but what is there in Kansas to do?

Feel free to check mine out here (not of Kansas):

Thanks! I can never seem to spend enough time taking pictures there! Very old and very cool. It's even when Uncle Sam is buried.

I'm pretty happy with KC. I like it a lot more thank Upstate NY where I came from.

Only downside I am seeing so far is that housing is a little more expensive...

NICE.

I was there a year ago at this time. SO quiet, and the water was SO frigid. Still a great time. I have been going every year since about 1995. I normally go around July/August though.

Let me be more specific....those rocks are in Beaver Dams. I know the place well.

If you like Killbear, you should try out The Pinery. Its by Grand Bend and it is AMAZING. No mosquitos!

Right again, it is beaver damns. I loooooove killbear, I've been going for 25 years and the park looks better now than it did back then.

The water is cool this time of year which is a shame cuz it is Crystal clear and it makes it more tempting.
