I've noticed an increase in strage phrases in spam emails. I'm wondering what the hell this is all about. Here's one I just received titled Fun at the Zoo

me and friends having fun at the beach
http://kenswerldon.com/sf/eels.php

Beyond the cornfield lay the cow pasture, bare as a football field. Carson cursed the harvest moon, rising in the western sky. It hung low, large as a pumpkin, inviting those below to reach up and touch it. Its orange glow bathed the landscape. If they were caught on the pasture, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

I get them often. Most times the "story" doesn't have coherant sentances.

It's intended to get past sophisticated spam filters that compare the text to structured sentences. It's pretty good at it too.

Wow...well, that explains a lot. Not a bad idea.

I still hate spammers.

I hate 'em worse because of this. First they start putting oddball or nonsense words in the subject, and when we start filtering for stupidity in the subject line they just put commonplace words there and surround their nasty stuff in the body of the message with seemingly nonsense text. Goons!

Welcome to 2005. I've been getting this for a while.

Mostly, SpamAssassin takes care of them. But I did get some slip-throughs recently.
