is it? i mean who frequents the swedish police website to notice it is down?

Even worse what if someone needed to reach it for an emergency (and dont' say call 911) cuz there are many situations where you don't call 911 and the police department directly.

Yeah, cyber-vandalism is bad, but nonetheless, I was mildly amused.

BTW, this Swedish guy claims that TPB was set up for this, and will be moving to the Netherlands, with a complete full backup.

"I guess this demonstrates the value of offsite backups."

If true, and they were actually smart enough to do this, one might think that the main guys may actually be smart enough to keep all warez off their main servers etc., which could make the legal proceedings kind of interesting.

Then again, one wonders...

I see nothing even mildly amusing about hacking the police.

Agreed.... like somebody who's in the middle of dying and trying to call 911 (or whatever it is in another country) can't......... all because of some jerk who wants revenge because he or she can't steal software, movies, or music.

Don't deny innocent people access to emergency services to satisfy greed or revenge.
