Cat is probably declawed. That said I still wouldn't let it jump on a nice MacBook Pro like that! Maybe they've got cash to burn though. I like when it started chewing on the mag safe!

Definitely not at that age, and especially not with the way he was pulling with claws near the elbow of the keyboard and screen, and when he jumps and hangs onto the top near the end of the video. I would've been tempted to throw the cat halfway across the room if that happened. The paws on the screen made me cringe.

Yeesh. *cringe*

Hmmm well maybe the person's just a crazy cat lover. I mean... my dad will dote after my sister's cat for a good hour every day. He'll let her out, and wait for her to come back in, I swear he says that cat's name more in one day than he will any family member's name... actually... that's probably not incorrect. Seriously most days I think dad loves the cat more than me... the other days I know for sure .

I know a couple of people with new-ish Powerbooks that treat them like crap. Same with their cars (hardly wash them). They don't seem to care.

Not everyone is anal about their Macs. To them, they're just tools.

He needs to clean his desktop.

Kittens don't really do any damage to screeens, they only get their claws out if they can get their paws around an object. My kitten loves to chase my cursor.

It's worth the price of a laptop to watch a kitten arse about like that.

I kept hoping he'd lean up high enough to tip the thing, if only for a split second.

They like the heat. My girlfriend's cat used to love just planting herself down in the middle of my open iBook. When I'm not around, she sits on top of my girlfriend's tower right above where the power supply is.

Same reason they'll sit on car engines. Fortunately my sister's cat has learned I'll toss it across the room if it ever tries to get on top of my PowerBook again!

So let's get this straight... ...you've actually thrown a cat across the room because it sat on your laptop? If you haven't, what exactly do you mean by "has learned"?
