This is amazing. It's set for production at the end of the year. It doesn't say anything about it being a flame retardent though, so I wonder if there is increased protection there also.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

Reminds me of an aqueous starch suspension. If you punch the liquid, it doesn't splatter but briefly solidifies instead.

It turns hard when agitated. What happens when a soldier is running fast?

I was thinking the same thing but it seems it takes a certain amout of "energy" to agitate it to that state.

Tripping over or getting a pat on the back should be enough agitation to freeze their suits.

I agree.

I'm just thinking out loud and wondering how they could provide head to toe protection in the iraqi heat. Maybe ski mask or a bee keeper's bonnet kind of rig?

Or if they needed it to be more rigid or use something with a fixed anchor point, they'd have to use some kind of helmet with this fabric attached to the lower edge of the helmet and some part of the shirt or tunic. And an integrated cooling system might have to be devised.

Powdered custard with a little water acts like this, amazing to watch it shatter as you thrown it against the floor, then liquify and reform together.
