Newbie to the forum here.

I just noticed that every time I post something in the forums there's a red dot icon next to my post. No one else seems to have this in their post subjects. Am I that special? Hardly...

It's to show you in which threads you've posted.

As a feminist, I am offended at having a large red period as the symbol to mark my presence in a thread.

Maybe it's a sign of government eavesdropping!

At the end of the thread listing, there's an (incomplete) icon legend. A red dot means you've posted in a thread. A red dot with a black dot inside means you posted in the thread AND there are new replies in the thread since you last visited it.

I really like it. Especially with Safari's cache off, I know which posts to check.

A red dot means that you've posted in the thread. A red dot with a black dot means that you've posted in the thread, and there have been new posts since you last looked at it.
