I predict Chuckit will say
"I'll use a mouse when I'm playing games, and an external burner for DL DVDs or whatetver, but otherwise I'm all wireless."

Dock? Like on a real dock, or like use it as a desktop? I plug in two usb, audio, monitor, ethernet, and power each time I put my iBook away.

I mean - notebook closed, external monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Why dock? A Powerbook? Why bother? Just connect it to a nice Apple display directly and plug a keyboard and mouse in. That's what I do. A dock is just extra expense for no reason. Didn't know there was a dock for a PB anyway.

Huh?
Anyway, like I said, yep, I dock my iBook, but I leave the screen open and use my 19" CRT for most things, and the iBook's display for iChat/Mail

Dock? As in BookEndz? I would never waste my money on their lousy "docking stations". I have had to return so many of those damned things for work it's not even funny.

Nope. I appreciate the portability of a notebook — don't want to tie it down. If I decide I want a desktop, I can get one much better than my PowerBook for relatively cheap. Don't want an inconvenient notebook and a gimpy desktop.

I are a idiot.
I admittedly didn't read the thread. I read the (slightly misleading?) thread title and ranted on BookEndz. Please forgive me.

Haha...sorry for being so harsh, but don't call me an idiot and then admit that you posted in a...what...5 post long thread without reading it.

I don't "dock."
I love the feel of my PowerBook's keyboard, I prefer using the trackpad rather than a mouse, and I don't want or need a second display.
Plus, I usually use my PowerBook on my lap on the couch.

Uh. WTF are you talking about, dude? I never called you an idiot.

Hmmmmm. What was that you were saying about reading comprehension?
The thread could have been two posts long and I still would have used it as an excuse to talk trash about BookEndz. If even one person is considering buying one of those hunks of **** and does a search here, then finds this thread and decides not to buy it based on my post then my work here is done.
On-topic: I don't have an external display, so I just use the built-in display and VirtueDesktops.

99% of the time I only hook up a mouse. I only use the trackpad when I am traveling.
If I am going to do intensive photo manipulation then I hook up my Wacom tablet.
If I am going to do movie editing then I hook up my Powermate.
