Looks like you're in Florida, Cody says they're quite strict. If he stashes it between or under the seats or something, there's no way you can really prove it was theirs. I think usually just the person carrying would be in trouble if it's a small amount or whatever.

I learnt some news about some work-mate's adventures over the weekend and it got me thinking.

What would happen to the driver of a car if their passenger was found to be in possession of cocaine? If the driver was genuinely unaware that the passenger was in possession.
Say they got pulled over for speeding, or a road block, and the police officer happened to notice that the passenger had cocaine on them.

This has made me a little weary about giving a person I know a lift to and from work. I'm not saying that this person is always in possession. Honestly, I don't know if they are ever. I'd assume they don't have any at work and that would make my worries pointless.

Depending on quantity and jurisdiction, the driver may forfeit their car.
