Self explanatory.

I'm getting into the dark and golden rums myself. Vodka is just sorta harsh, gin ... I can't do much gin, lighter rums just seem to syrupy,...

anyway, will probably try to start a rum collection after I deplete my remaining bar.

Well, I'm not 21 yet so I haven't ever had alcohal. I suppose when I am next summer the most I'll have is the occasional imported beer with my roommates, they really like the stuff.

I'm getting into whisky - can't beleive it, but I am. I have a good friend from S Carolina. He insists that I drink Jim Beam on Clemson Game Days ;-). I get pretty drunk off it.

Other than that I like water. No sodas 4 me.

Also, if you vote, and you have a favorite brand that you've discovered, please share. For rum.... well, I've found this rum that's pretty tasty and doesn't hurt the wallet much:

http://www.mountgayrum.com/

Coral filtered water, one of the oldest brewed rums in the world.... I love it.

First of your kind huh..... The kids I see around here (NY) drinks since there like 15 or so. Alcohol is overated but hey throw me another Cervasa. Corona is my drink of choice.

Gin and tonic, but my consumption of alcohol significantly declined over the past few years. I'm starting to realize, it's just not worth the annoyance.

Well, my tastes change with the seasons.

Right now I am going broke buying Jager and Red Bull, I'm am friggin' addicted to Jager Bombs....but I like the sugarfree RedBull much better than the normal. Goldschlager is also a poison of mine lately.

For beer I've been sticking with Corona and/or Sam Adams light.

Also, I've been getting some real dank nug, quite....oh, wrong thread

Straight as an arrow, I know I'll be in the minority but I don't drink - not that I have had (or have) a problem it, or hits inherently evil just a personal choice.

"Beer". Locally made. Like as in "my garage" type of local.

If not drinking beer, I have been testing various meads lately (good point Doofy), or Amaretto neat or over crushed ice.

I do like Traverse City area made dry red wines too. For some reason I just can't get into California wines. Too... I don't know... just "too..." something.

EDIT: I have been learning oodles about coffees lately as well. I know, not alcohol, but it is a drink. And I'll never try that marsupial pooped coffee, don't worry.

... OK. Drinking age in Canada is 19 and 18. I think I had my first taste of booze when I was like 3 or 4? Never stole a sip from your Dad's? Rules are meant to be broken.

Don't worry about it. I drink maybe three or four 330 ml Buds per year. That's it.

I used to be a beer monster but don't see the point any more. I'd much rather have a milk shake or something. Like you say, personal choice.

Go to canada for the weekend, you only have to be 19.

Here's a pic of the keg system:

As for the rest, simply buy a "turkey fryer" with a 5+ gal. stainless steel pot and one of these kits from this page: http://www.northernbrewer.com/starterkits.html

After a few bathes you'll be making better beer than you can ever buy in a store.

I have only two bits of advice:
"Relax, have another homebrew"
and
"SANITIZE. SANITIZE. SANITIZE."

Beer. I really miss the Madison brews--New Glarus Spotted Cow, anything brewed at the Great Dane Pub (but especially their Emerald Isle Stout), and while we're talking Wisconsin of course Leinie's deserves a mention.

As far as non-local stuff goes, I'm a big fan of Blue Moon, Corona, and of course, Guiness.

I voted Beer, but I don't mean your Budweiser or Fosters weasel p*** lager. I mean ale and bitter like Old Speckled Hen or Bombardier. Now thats a proper pint.

I don't drink, either, but I'll never pass-up a good cigar or good pipe tobacco.

Depends on the time of year (and weather), as well as my mood, the food (if any), etc.

I love a good beer, a glass of wine, a shot or cocktail.

I usually avoid the sweet mixed drinks (sweeter varieties of beer or wine, however, are usually fine) and things of the wine cooler variety.

I like Rum, myself.

But Ca$h, you left off ouzo! Not that I drink it, but my father loves it.

You've got to put ouzo on your next poll. Or raki (Turkish ouzo), or arak (Arabic ouzo).

Be warned, though, if you decide to try it yourself. DO NOT DRINK A SHOT OF OUZO ALL AT ONCE. It will not treat you kindly if you do. There is a reason my father takes small sips and has a big glass of water nearby.

Ouzo, perhaps.

Tsipouro, OTOH... (Tsipouro is homemade ouzo... MUCH higher alcohol content). My father prefers it. He brings back literally gallons of the stuff when he comes back from Greece. He just puts it in Sprite bottles. He's never been stopped or questioned by customs.

(Why is this guy bringing 6 bottles of Sprite from Greece into the US?)
