the power of the logo.

notice how they want to associate their "cuban" rum to young, cool, beautiful, rich clubbing people.

I'm so glad we got Habana Club (real cuban rum) in Québec

It's PUERTO RICAN Rum. Clearly labeled as such. And if you'd get your pale ass outta the frozen tundra that is Quebec, you'd get to enjoy a mojito near a palm tree and a latina.

Where I work, we're well known for our mojitos. We offer coconut, raspberry, watermelon, and mango mojitos in addition to our classic mojito. You should see the supreme clientele that frequents the ladies room. So anyhow, I associate mojitos to young, cool, beautiful types.

Just to let you know, I've been to cuba for more than a year of my life. I've drank mojitos done by the people who invented them and where they were invented.

Where I live, and in Europe too, you can read on a bacardi bottle: Estd. in Cuba in XXXX. When you read the fine print on the back of the bottle, they finally admit it's made in Puerto Rico (obviously they don't want you to know that.) Maybe it's not like that in the US because of the Cuba hating that's been going on for years now.

Anyway, enjoy your bacardi mojitos, I'll enjoy my Habana Club mojitos.

no!

Clearly stated on the front of the bottle, as I've always known it. I'm too lazy to search for your "cuban" labeled Bacardi.

As I said, it might be different in the US due to local laws/local hatred.
I have no time to take a pic of the evident "Casa Fundada En Cuba", but here's a pointer if you can decode Spanish
http://www.afrocubaweb.com/pedroperezsarduy/bacardi.htm

as I've always known it.
Well that's the problem: you only know the US.

blah blah blah

"Originally founded by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba, Bacardi is headquartered today in Hamilton, Bermuda, with most production in Puerto Rico."

Lol... donno which bit is failing to penetrate your thick skull today, but I'll repeat just for you

Bacardi, in Europe, Canada, and probably the rest of the world (excluding the US), wants consumers to believe they're drinking CUBAN rum. They achieve this illusion by putting "Estd. In Cuba" in big letters on the bottle. But on the back, in fine print, you see where it really comes from: puerto rico.

that's just my point.

Bacardi is made in Puerto Rico, bonehead! The last time I checked, they don't share the same latitude and longitude
