I thought it would be fun to start a thread for people to put one fact that they know about KISS (band.) Here's mine:

Gene Simmons has claimed to have slept with over 4600 women, and that was three years ago

Television star, Katey Sagal of "Married With Children" sang back-up vocals on Gene Simmons' solo album.

The Daily Show once did a bit on the feud between rival midget KISS tribute bands in Vegas. (As in, bands made primarily of midgets.)

It wasn't until an hour after seeing KISS at Jones Beach a few years ago that I was informed that Ace Frehley wasn't Ace Frehley. I swear, I could not tell the difference.

Gene Simmons once angel-kissed some chick, but didn't know it. He was wondering why people seemed frightened of him as he walked back home the next morning...only to find out when he looked in the mirror....

Of course, so he claims. Could be bullshit. I think that was in his book or something; he'll do or say anything just to make money. I hate KISS.

It sounds like I should be glad that I don't know what "angel-kissed" means.

Angel-kiss, angel's kiss, etc...there's probably a lot of different variations: "going down" on a female when, you know, it's that particular time of the month.

I know, I know. Raunchy. But it's Gene Simmons - what do we expect?

Wouldn't "that" be referred to as the DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE BATTER buss or something?

(Hmmm, it is too wordy to catch on. But you get it, I'm sure. )

When Marvel comics printed the first Kiss comic books, featuring the members as super-heroes, each of the members poured a vial of their own blood into the printer's ink as a publicity stunt.

KISS drummer Eric Carr lost a valiant battle with cancer on November 24, 1991. His death coincided with the passing of another rock legend on the same date. Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, died the day after revealing he had contracted AIDS.

Eric Carr is in a mausoleum in the same cemetery as my father. His stone has his real name in large type with "Eric Carr" in small type in the bottom corner.

Vinnie Vincernt was never an actual "member" of the band - he was hired at $300,000/yr. I don't know if he got any $$ from touring, but he didn't get any from record sales.

Born in Haifa, Israel, Chiam Witz emigrated to the U.S. at the age of nine and had his name changed to Gene Klein (his mother's maiden name). It was later in life he changed it again to Gene Simmons.

Band member, Eric Singer, was with Lita Ford, Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath before joining Kiss.

Singer (real name Eric Mensinger) has recently rejoined Kiss for the "Farewell Tour," wearing Peter Criss' makeup onstage. He alsp played for former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick in the band ESP.

When I was a kid my friend had the Kiss album "Love Gun," and it came with a little paper gun inside the record.

You could probably sell that thing on ebay for some good bucks today.

The Kiss solo albums were actually released on coloured vinyl - a different colour for each album (the same colours as their "glow" in this pic).

Some idiot not a million miles away had all four - and traded them for something irrelevant (I forget what) - those albums would be worth a ton these days.

That's when you have intercourse while they're on their period ("earning your red wings").

Oral during that time is a "vamp kiss" or "Claudia kiss".

Gene and Paul were members of a band in the early 1970's before the arrival of Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, named, "Wicked Lester."

Gene and Paul first met in WL, Peter later answered an ad for a 'drummer, willing to do anything to make it' in 'Rolling Stone' magazine and Ace responded to an ad in the 'Village Voice' newspaper to complete the lineup.
