I'm planning to go to Europe soon for a little vacation and I'm searching through different sites for different prices.
I go to priceline.com and you choose the price you're willing to pay and if it's accepted, you just pay with your credit card and the ticket is yours.
Check out what I offered them :
(and they accepted)
Airline Ticket Offer Price: $1.00 per ticket
Airline Ticket Taxes & Fees: $154.95 per ticket
Number of Tickets: 1
Airline Ticket Delivery: $19.95 (Federal Express)
Airfare Subtotal: $175.90
Total Trip Cost: $175.90
$1.00 for the ticket ?
WTF
Is this for real or what ?
All that remains is for me to enter my credit card info and the ticket is mine.
Anybody else have some experience with some ridiculous price on priceline ?

Is that an intra-European ticket? Often the low cost carriers in Europe (easyjet, Ryanair, etc) will offer tickets for 1 euro (or even 0.01 euro); of course, the taxes still suck, and that price looks like it has been padded a bit in the fees.
Try matrix.itasoftware.com to see if you can find a better deal on another airline.

It's US > Europe roundtrip. Even with the taxes, it's still about $750.00 cheaper than on other sites I've checked. $ 1.00 just seems like a joke (or a massive bug on priceline).

I just did and they declined. I guess you have to enter the credit card info before they will tell you for real if they accept or not.
Oh well, $1.00 seemed too wild to be true anyhow.

Ah, I thought I had remembered that you had to agree to the price and agree to pay before they tell you if they accepted your price or not.

Yeah, what you saw was a bid confirmation screen. Priceline will only tell you if you're successful after they have charged your credit card for your completely non-refundable reservation.
I love Priceline for hotels, use it all the time and save a lot of money. Used it once for airfare but only because I wanted to leave 3 days later and was neither overly satisfied nor dissatisfied (the itinerary and price was good, but they put me on Delta which was not so good). Otherwise I prefer to book airfare the usual way.
There are even entire forums dedicated to getting the most out of Priceline, such as:
