Well, I've been 'trying out' mp3s for the past 5-6 years and have finally decided to buy all the CDs I like and go Lossless in anticipation of my new Paradigm Mini Monitors.

Currently, I own 0 cds. I found out about Lala.com, which is a used cd trading program - so I need a few to start off. Is eBay the best option at ~$8 a disc (avg)? Anybody have a better place?

The used cd shops around me have little selection - guess I could go to Miami or something...

The amazon marketplace is actually pretty good. I've gotten a few CDs on their (new in packaging) for half (or less) of amazon's price.

www.cduniverse.com can be good, but can also be about the same as amazon sometimes.

I used to have some - back in 96-00. Style changed, CDs scratched. In college it was all mp3s. Now I feel guilty for the 'borrowing' and could use some higher quality.

The BMG music club thing is a good deal for CDs when you're building a collection.

Even better is another club (also owned by BMG): www.yourmusic.com

All CDs are $5.99 (double CDs are $11.98) and shipping is free. And the CDs don't have that sticking strip over the top that's nearly impossible to get off easily! I'm a very satisfied customer.
