I'm making a mix for a trip in a rented VW jetta that I assume will have the factory mp3/cd player. The mix I made has a combination of mp3's and acc's. Does anyone know if it will play the acc?

Very doubtful that it will play AAC.

I have a 2006 Jetta with the 6 CD changer (all the descriptions call it "in-dash", but it's really in the center console armrest), and the dealership swears it'll play MP3's but I can't get that to work. The discs worked fine in my old Kenwood head unit. The way I'm burning them is by dragging the music files to a CD and burning them using the System (i.e., not iTunes). I wonder if the Jetta's not reading the files because I've got them in folders. I'll try it without folders and see what happens. Grrr.

I bet if you had burned it in iTunes as an MP3 cd it would have worked. It's probably the folders.

My parents have one (they won it in a raffle!) and it plays mp3s but not AAC.
You'll have to do the ol' Convert Selection to mp3...

I have a 2006 Jetta w/ in dash 6 disk mp3 cd player. It will ONLY play mp3s, not acc tracks.

I do not have a problem with it playing mp3 cds with folders (when you burn the mp3 cd via iTunes, click the Album column then the Artist Column so it's sorted). but what i do have a problem with is the jetta will not display the album name, just "Title 01", "Title 02" nor will it show folder name, just "Folder 01", "Folder 02".

If someone knows how to get that functioning please let me know.
