So these guys do think they are entitled to charge huge taxes on every product capable of supply the end user with a copy of music, movies… from hard disk drives where you can store them, to printers which let you get fancy music or video covers.
take this as an example about the taxes they are trying to get applied to common hardware…
computer with a 160 GB hard disk, 22 €
DVD burner (as pc peripheral), 16,67 €
all in one device printer, scanner, fax, copier… 10 €
digicam with memory to store 200 photos, 9 €
stand alone DVD player, 6,61 €
hi-fi alike sound system, 0,60 €
MP3 player, 14 €
1 MD ADSL line, 35 € -annual fee-
200 CD discs, 50 €
100 DVD discs, 140 €
I have just purchased an internal DVD burner to use with my Mac and iDVD, as if the VAT was not enough on it -almost 10 €- had I bought such burner some time in the near future I would have to pay an additional 16,67 €, that is 26,67 € for a burner that was 39 €
Next one, I have three two internal hard disk drives and an external FireWire drive on my main computer, if I ever have to replace them, I would have to pay as buying four drives but getting three so far…
My adsl is the crappiest one you can think about, while it is supposed to be a 1 MB service, all I get is 14 kbps, but I would have to pay even more for such bad service because I am guilty of download music and movies… when I have never download any kind of such stuff… LOL I have not even downloaded the 10.4.7 combo update because with my adsl line it would be a torture !!!
Freaking insane if you ask me…
